The expansion of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok incorportaes the Phase II development, construction Of the third runway and building a second passenger terminal which all together would cost 117.47 billion baht.
When the entire project is completed in 2021, Suvarnabhumi’s annual passenger handling capacity will be rasied to 90million from 45 million currently.
For Don Mueang International Airport, a capacity outlay of 31.87 billion baht has been earmarked for the Phase II and Phase III master development plan.
a) Phase II, involving the restoration of passenger terminal 2, has been completed.
b) Under the phase III, the modernization of Terminal 1 will be carried out with a junction terminal
Concept, featuring a connection with the Don Mueang staion where the future Red Line commuter rail system will serve.

Hat Yai International Airport will get a 15-billion-baht budget for a modernization which includes construction of a parallel taxiway, expansion of apron, improving the exisiting passenger terminal, erecting new park building and improving other facilities. Targetted for completion in 2030, these works will boost Hat Yai airport’s passenger handling capacity to 10 million a year.
