The Department of Tourism (DOT) Philippines, along with her Excellency, Ma. Teresita C. Daza, Ambassador, Republic of Philippines to India, recently launched 135 branded taxis in New Delhi as a part of its promotional campaign.
Speaking at the launch, the ambassador said, “This is one way of raising awareness about the Philippines as each taxi displays various destinations from the country. We hope to encourage more and more Indian travellers to discover the beautiful islands. The Philippines has a lot to offer and its slogan, ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’ has been very helpful in attracting more tourists.”
SanJeet, Tourism Attaché, Philippines Tourism Marketing Office India, says, “Indian families, honeymooners and conference attendees travelled to the Philippines for its beautiful islands, serene landscapes, culture and cuisine and helped record 65 percent growth in the month of July 2016 itself.”
“With an aim to increase further arrivals from India, DOT Philippines India has been undertaking several consumers as well as trade initiatives under the ‘Visit the Philippines Again (VPA) 2016’ campaign. The added advantage of Visa free entry for up to 14 days for Indian passport holders having valid AJACSSUK visas (US, Japan, Australia, Canada, Schengen, Singapore and UK) contributing significantly towards our goal of attracting 100,000 visitors by the end of 2017,” added SanJeet.
