Oman Tourism plans to conduct a four-city road show next month in India. These roadshows are to attract attention of the high-end tourist and to enlarge the awareness and educate the Indian travel trade about Oman’s tourism products and contributions. The road show will be held on 3rd February in Mumbai, 6th in Bengaluru, 7th in Chennai and 8th in Delhi.
This year the delegation will be represented by 12 participants namely – Bahwan Tours, Tour Oman, Global Tours, Mezoon International, Zahara Tours, Adonis Travels, National Travel & Tourism, Al Bustan Palace, A- Ritz – Carlton Hotel, Golden Tulip Hotels Oman, Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa, Al Nahda Resort & Spa and Oman Air.
Ms. Lubaina Sheerazi, India Representative of the Ministry of Tourism, Sultanate of Oman mentioned “We are conducting these road shows to educate the Indian travel trade on the potential of Oman being an ideal destination for clients looking for luxurious short haul vacations as this year we have more participants as compared to last year which will surely bring out the best of Oman to the Indian travel trade. Thus our focus is to give travel trade an opportunity to network and interact with the delegates.”Thus she also said “India as one of the most promising markets with a lot of Indians going globetrotting these days is what we have observed.
Oman Tourism further plans to continue its offline training programmes in the four metros as well as some additional cities and they are looking forward to participate in events such as TAFI and TAAI which is also one of their agenda along with FAM trips for tour operators.
