· In 2011, 168,122 Indian visited Indonesia, growth of 9.24% from 2010.
· Aims to target 180,000 tourists in 2012.

Ministry of Tourism & Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia participated at OTM, 2012 in Mumbai. There were 15 participants at the Indonesia stand consisting Local Tour Operators, Hotels & Indian Restaurants. Present at the event were the Director of International Tourism Promotion Ms. Nia Niscaya, Deputy Director of MICE Iyung Masruoh and the Hon’ble Dicky Fabrian, Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Mumbai.
Ms Niscaya talking to Safari Plus said, “The tourist from India have shown growth of 9.24% from 2010. Further to enhance the arrivals we are in constant touch with the travel partners in India conducting roadshows and Fam tours, participating in the travel exhibition to educate them about the destination. This year we planned to have Sales Mission in Kolkata and Chennai in the month of September.”
She added, “The MICE market is also growing from India, more than 100 group had chosen Indonesia last year from India. This year we are putting our efforts in promoting the untouched destinations like Manado and Batan.”
Commenting of Visa consul general said, “Though Indian enjoy the Visa-on-arrival facility from past 3 years, we receive and issue more than 200 visa application per month from our office in Mumbai. And comparing Indian visa fee, Indonesian charge only 25 US$ for 1 month validity”.
