Empowering its existing marketing reach, the Philippines gets a new brand slogan 'Its more fun in the Philippines'.
Branding itself in India a delegate were present for Outbound Travel Mart 2012 event led by Verna Esmeralda Buensuceso, Director & Group Head, Europe, India and Middle East, Raymund Glen A. Agustin, Head India Team and Luisa A. Llave, Member Team India.
The Philippines has always been considered as one of the friendliest destinations and with its innovative marketing strategies, it continues to lure Indians towards its shores. As is evident from the latest growth figures for the total visitor arrivals from India to the Philippines which stood at a remarkable 23.89% (2009-10 marked +5% of growth).
Targeting India Market Mr. Glen said, “The rise in tourist arrivals from India is the result of the direct connectivity as last year Philippines Airlines started its operations from India. And very soon Jet Airways is likely to start its operation to Philippines. This year we will try to involve consumer directly and market our self as a Family Destination. MICE and Wedding segment are also booming from India market and to enhance we are putting effort to promote Cebu and Davao.”
The Philippine Tourism Marketing Office is leaving no stone unturned in promoting the new slogan, while actively publicising the brand through social networking sites such as Facebook. Not just that, to ensure that the logo has a wider reach, it has been translated into several other Asian languages.
