| MAS Introduces New Malaysian-Indian Daytime Frequencies |
Malaysia’s national carrier Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has now introduced new daytime flights linking Malaysia and India, which will commence from 1st Sept 2012.
MAS Regional Senior Vice President (Malaysia and Asean) Muzammil Mohamad commented that as the only carrier providing daily direct full-service connections between Kuala Lumpur and the main Indian hubs of Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, MAS is providing better travel options for customers to enjoy enhanced connectivity to destinations in the airline's network. He said MAS provides a total of 50 weekly direct and full-service flights between India and Malaysia.
"As part of our business plan strategy to win more customers, we have identified the vast growth potential in the Indian routes and are now set to increase our services by offering more flight choices," he said in a statement. Further stating, he said, "With the new aircraft, authentic Indian in-flight cuisine and Malaysian hospitality delivered by our award-winning crew as well as competitive pricing, we invite customers to take advantage of this winning proposition and cherish their travel experiences with us,"
The daytime service from Kuala Lumpur to Mumbai, flight MH 174, departs every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 9.20am and arrives in Mumbai at 11.45am. It returns as flight MH 175 the same day, departing Mumbai at 11.45am and arriving in Kuala Lumpur at 8.20pm.
The additional daytime service to Bengaluru on Monday, Thursday and Saturday departs Kuala Lumpur as flight MH 104 at 9.50am an arrives at 11.20am, while the return flight MH 105 departs at 12.10am and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 6.55pm.
The Chennai service is increased by four weekly daytime flights on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday with flight MH 182 departing Kuala Lumpur at 9.35am and arriving in the South Indian city at 10.45am. The return flight departs Chennai at 11.45am to arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 6.15pm.
