THAI smile, the new sub-brand of Thai Airways International (THAI) started its operations and the first international flight of THAI Smile was Bangkok to Macau on 7th July, 2012. The airlines used the newly delivered Airbus 320-200 aircraft for this route. THAI Smile flights to Macau will offer more travel alternatives, ease and comfort to passenger.
On this auspicious occasion, Mr. Ampon Kittiampon, THAI’s Chairman of the Board of Directors presided over the ribbon cutting ceremony of the first departure flight TG750 from Suvarnabhumi Airport's Boarding Gate D5 to Macau International Airport. Upon the arrival of flight TG750, Miss Suning Liu, Executive Director Macau International Airport Co Ltd (CAM) graciously welcomed VIPs, guests, media and passengers traveling onboard.
The ribbon cutting ceremony of THAI Smile First Flight from Macau to Bangkok TG751 was led by Mr. Chulasingh Vasantasingh, THAI Board Member, together with Mr. Pandit Chanapai, Executive Vice President of Commercial, Miss Suning Liu, Executive Director of Macau International Airport Co Ltd (CAM), Mr. Simon Chan, President of Civil Aviation Authority Macau (AACM), Mr. Joao Manuel Costa Antunes, Director of Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO), and Mr. Chakri Srichawana, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate.
THAI Smile is also offering special promotional fares to introduce its new service on domestic as well as international flights. One-way fare in Smile Plus class begins at 6,500 baht and Smile class fare begins at 3,350 baht. THAI Smile’s first international route was Bangkok-Macau-Bangkok, with twice-daily flights that commenced from 7th July 2012. Details are as follows, flight departures and arrivals in local time:

Mr. Pandit Chanapai, THAI Executive Vice President, Commercial Department, said that THAI Smile will offer new services in two-classes of travel “Smile Plus,” a short-haul business class service and “Smile,” an economy class service. Smile Plus class offers passengers on either side of the middle seat spacious elbow room and more free space between the seats, a first for any airline in this region. Smile Plus passengers are entitled to free 30 kilograms of checked baggage weight and have access to THAI’s business class passenger lounges. Snacks and beverages are served in both classes and Royal Orchid Plus mileage may be accumulated. Special fares are being offered for Smile Plus business class and Smile economy class with prices inclusive of airport tax and all surcharges (taxes and surcharges may vary based on the foreign currency exchange rate on the date of ticket issuance and ticket restrictions may apply). Tickets may be issued effective immediately.
