Year on year IT&CM China and CTW China projects on the new initiatives that aimed to enhance the delegate’s experience being it Business, Networking and Education programs that matched the industry demand. The theme this year was INNOVATION and the keynote on Sustainability Through INNOVATION underscores the significance and role of the China’s MICE industry can embrace innovation to stay sustainable and relevant in the years to come.

The new initiatives this year were Say Hi To Everyone, Exhibition Walkabout, Meet-The-Corporates and Brand Show Presentations. All the show was to break the barriers and enhance the experience of the usual one-to-one appointments.

Say Hi To Everyone - an interactive ice-breaker and filling the gap by giving attendees the platform to identify potential delegate profiles they want to meet across both events, kick-start the connection process and ease into business conversations ahead of exhibition days.

Exhibition Walk-About comprised of four 1-hour guided sessions to featured destination pavilions and booths. Each guided session featured exhibitors the opportunity to efficiently make quick introductions and connections within a short time. It made sure that the exhibitors would have met all attending association buyers and media.

Meet-The-Corporates - a speed-dating format, exhibitors go round tabled groups of corporate buyers to exchange business cards and make simple introductions. Sessions are organised to allow exhibitors to meet all attending CTW China buyers within two 1 hour sessions.

Brand Showcase Presentation – 20 mins slots was given to showcase the product information and these sessions was to supplement their publicity and brand outreach efforts.

According to a report MICE industry is expected to reach $1.245 billion in 2023 growing at a compound annual growth rate of 7.5% from 2017 to 2023.and for Asia-Pacific 8.6% for the same period.”

Mr. Yang Fan, Deputy General Manager, CITS International MICE Co Ltd, during the press conference said, “IT&CM China has been hailed as the vane of the China International MICE Industry. As the most influential international MICE fair in the Asia-Pacific region we successfully attracted nearly 540 industry buyers from 38 countries covering more than 15000 professional appointments (+60% from the last year).”
