Mr. Sunil Chopra appointed as Director of Industry Affairs took his retirement
from IATA a couple of months back and prior to this he was the Area Manager for
a cluster of countries - Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Sri lanka, Maldives &
Bangladesh and was based in Singapore for International Air Transport
During the stint with IATA
India, he was instrumental in the growth of the IATA agent’s community in 2005
when it was 1300 agents to over 3200 in 2012 and launched the domestic BSP
which was subsequently clubbed into the BSP. He helped launch the Insurance
Guarantee scheme in India & supported the Associations in implementing the
Joint Bank Guarantee. He has worked very closely with the Agent’s
Associations to help support and create an automated environment. Prior to
moving to Singapore, Sunil was Country Manager India & Nepal and has spent
the last 12 years with IATA.
Mr. Vikas Khanduri handed over the position of Chairman of Education & Skill
Development Committee has been working in the area of education in his own way. He is
part of the Advisory Board for Amity University, Tourism Department, Actively
works with IITTM, is Chairman Entrepreneur wing with Centre of Education
Research and Growth [CEGR] and through the CSR initiative has trained 600
people under Skill Development in coordination with Government of India.
Mr. Vijay Gupta elected
as Chairman Membership of Development Committee. Mr. Gupta was the
Immediate Past Chairman of TAFI Northern India Chapter.
Mrs. Meenal Arora scheduled
as Head of Administration. Ms. Arora joined TAFI in
November 2016. We wish all of them the very best and look forward to their
positive contribution towards the growth of TAFI.
