Singapore Airlines & SilkAir announces a special fare to Australia starting from INR 49,000 for travel up to 30 September 2012. This exclusive offer has been introduced in association with Tourism Australia, Tourism Victoria, Destination New South Wales and Tourism Queensland to promote the myriad attractions of these beautiful states in Australia. The all-inclusive fares, valid for a minimum of two persons travelling together, are on sales from 1 – 31 March 2012.
Announcing this special offer, Mr. G.M. Toh, General Manager India, Singapore Airlines said, “Singapore Airlines and SilkAir have been the preferred carriers for travellers on the India-Australia route as we offer excellent connectivity, with 84 weekly flights from India to Singapore and 92 weekly flights from Singapore to Australia. The special fare, introduced to promote travel to some of the most beautiful locations in Australia, offers our customers a full-service travel experience at very attractive prices.”
The special promotional fare will be available in India for departures from 10 Singapore Airlines and Silk Air gateway cities viz. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram. Destinations in Australia are Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, with Darwin also available from 26 March 2012, when SilkAir launches 4 weekly services. Through the recently announced codesharing with their alliance partner, Virgin Australia, Singapore Airlines passengers can also travel seamlessly to more than 20 other Australian cities. Members of Singapore Airlines' KrisFlyer programme can now earn and redeem miles on Virgin Australia flights, while eligible members have access to Virgin Australia lounges.
