The 5th Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit 2011 created many records - over a million visited the exhibition, with 101 countries participated and signed 8380 MoUs for an investment of 2083000 crores (equivalent to US $ 450 Billion).
In the tradition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summits, the Vibrant Global Summit, 8-13 January 2013, is expected to present a better picture than the ones already held. Along with the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit the International Travel Tourism Hospitality Expo 2013 (ITTHE) will be organized by TAFCON Projects (India) Pvt Ltd, in association with the K and D Communication Ltd, as a vital part of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit.
According to the World Travel and Tourism Council, India will be a tourism hotspot during 2009-2018, Records indicate that India generated about US $ 200 billion in 2008 and that is expected to increase to US $ 375.5 billion by 2018 at a 9.4% annual growth.
The Government of India and the State Governments in India are promoting the industry as “Incredible India” and the tourism campaigns run by States have given many dimensions, leading to awareness of the tourism potential. And in fact the Government of India set up an ambitious target of achieving one percent of the Global Tourism pie in the next 3 years which means to double the industry share from 6 million to 12 million. Travel and Tourism has now become an affordable luxury, with disposable income of the middle class, to healthy senior citizens opting to travel, it can be safely said that the Indian industry has finally come off age.
Realizing the potential of tourism in India, TAFCON considered it advantageous to organize “International Travel, Tourism Hospitality Expo” as a part of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show during January 2013.
