North of Nagpur
Starting from Nagpur, Pench Tiger Reserve is 80kms and takes you, to the tales of famous Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling.
Excursion - Ramtek, an ancient temple atop the hill of Sri Rama (it is believed Lord Ram rested, here a while during his exile). A panoramic view of the landscape dotted with lakes, of which the Ambala and Khindsi lakes offer religious and water sports opportunities, respectively.
Mansar, the fort at Nagaradhan, and the recently set up adventure sports camp, make it a perfect destination for all types of tourists.

South from here is the famous town Shegaon, which has the revered saint Gajanan Maharaj's Samadhi and is visited by lakhs of devotees every year. Further is Lonar, which is the world's largest meteorite crater in Bassalt rock. Nearby is Sindhkhed raja, the birth place of Chhatrapati Shivaji's mother Jijamata. Mehekar is famous for its BalajiTemple, and is in close proximity.
South of Nagpur
Tadoba Tiger Sanctuary, on the way is the beautiful Markanda temple, of Lord Shiva on the eastern banks of the Wainganga river.
Excursion: This area offers an opportunity to see living Gandhis–in –action. Some legends from this region Baba Amte's Anadwan, Dr Prakash Amte's Hemalkasa and Dr Abhay Bang's Gadchiroli. East of Nagpur is Nagzira Tiger Reserve, Navegaon Bird sanctuary.
West of Nagpur are Melghat Tiger Reserve and Bor Sanctuary.
