Ajman Eyes Stronger Connect with Indian Travel Trade
Mumbai, 31 August 2026: Ajman is stepping up its engagement with the Indian travel market, positioning the emirate as a destination that offers far more than a stopover in the UAE. The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media hosted an exclusive press interaction in Mumbai with H.E. Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General, highlighting the emirate’s growing tourism potential and its plans to deepen ties with India..
Held at The St. Regis Mumbai, the interaction brought together members of the media and travel fraternity for an engaging discussion on Ajman’s diverse tourism proposition, from heritage and culture to leisure, hospitality and family experiences.
The Mumbai event formed part of Ajman’s India roadshow, being held from 30 August to 4 September 2026, with engagements also planned in Chennai and Hyderabad.
With India continuing to be an important source market, Ajman is focusing on closer collaboration with travel partners and developing experiences and packages suited to Indian travellers.
For the Indian travel trade, the emirate’s appeal lies in its compact size, distinctive cultural character and ability to complement wider UAE itineraries—offering travellers an opportunity to discover another facet of the Emirates.
