NMIA Expands Connectivity with New MSRTC Bus Services to Dadar, Borivali and Pune
Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) has strengthened regional connectivity with dedicated Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus services to Dadar, CSMT, Borivali and Pune, providing direct public transport access across the MMR and Maharashtra.
Shri Pratap Sarnaik, Hon’ble Transport Minister, Government of Maharashtra, and Chairman, MSRTC, flagged off the service at Dadar MSRTC Bus Stand in the presence of senior NMIAL and MSRTC officials. The arriving bus was welcomed at NMIA’s Departure Forecourt.
Service Frequency - The first phase will operate 16 daily services on the NMIA–Dadar/CSMT corridor, eight to Borivali and two to Pune, using key routes including Atal Setu.
Key Routes
NMIA–CSMT–Dadar: Via Ulwe, Nhava Sheva/Chirle, Atal Setu, Sewri, Eastern Freeway, Byculla, Parel and Lalbaug.
NMIA–Borivali: Via Atal Setu, Eastern Freeway, Eastern Express Highway/Sion, Mumbai Airport Terminal 1, JVLR, Andheri and Western Express Highway.
NMIA–Pune: Direct service to Swargate, Pune.
Bus fare applicable for the NMIA–Borivali route is ₹210, the NMIA–Dadar route is ₹170, and the NMIA–Pune route, terminating at Swargate, is ₹455.
Commenting on the launch, Shri Pratap Sarnaik, Minister of Transport and Chairman, MSRTC, said: “NMIA is an important addition to Maharashtra’s growth and global connectivity. These services will make the airport more accessible and affordable for passengers across Navi Mumbai, the MMR, Pune, Konkan and the state. Linking NMIA with MSRTC’s network will give citizens safe, reliable and cost-effective access to Maharashtra’s new aviation gateway. Integrating NMIA with the state’s public transport network will enable seamless mobility and extend the benefits of this growth centre across Maharashtra.”
By providing direct connections from Borivali, Dadar, CSMT and Pune, MSRTC’s new routes strengthen last-mile connectivity to NMIA while offering an affordable and accessible travel option for daily commuters from Mumbai’s western and eastern suburbs, Central and South Mumbai, and across Navi Mumbai.

Planned services to Thane, Nashik and other Maharashtra towns will further expand NMIA’s reach and direct public transport access. The services deepen NMIA’s integration with the MMR and Maharashtra as the airport expands its network and operations.
