Heritage Aviation is set to launch a new helicopter service from March 11 in Uttarakhand

To make travel in Uttarakhand easier and faster, Heritage Aviation is set to launch a new helicopter service from March 11, 2025. This service will be operated under the central government’s UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme and will connect key cities of the state, including Dehradun, Nainital, Bageshwar, and Haldwani. The primary aim of this service is to bridge the distance between Kumaon and Garhwal and to provide travelers with a fast, convenient, and seamless travel experience.

With the launch of this new helicopter service, passengers will get relief from long and exhausting road journeys in hilly areas. For instance, a road journey from Dehradun to Nainital typically takes 6 to 7 hours, whereas this helicopter service will complete the same journey in just 50 minutes. Similarly, other routes will also allow passengers to reach their destinations in significantly less time.

Flight Schedule

This new service by Heritage Aviation will operate with 7-seater helicopters, ensuring efficient transportation of passengers to their destinations in minimal time. Not only will this service save time, but it will also make the otherwise difficult and tiring journeys in hilly regions much easier. In addition to boosting tourism, this service will be highly beneficial for local residents and business travelers.

Under this new service, two daily flights will be operated on each route.

Heritage Aviation is the only private helicopter company in India providing daily helicopter services under the UDAN scheme. The company already operates daily flights from Haldwani to Champawat, Pithoragarh, and Munsiyari. In the future, Heritage Aviation also plans to start daily flights from Dehradun to Tehri, Srinagar, and Gauchar. The company's goal is to connect all major and minor towns of Uttarakhand under the UDAN scheme.
