Mugdha Sinha Appointed as MD of ITDC
Senior IAS officer Mugdha Sinha has been appointed as the Managing Director of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC). A 1999-batch officer from the Rajasthan cadre, Sinha previously served as Director General, Tourism in the Ministry of Tourism.
She has held several key roles in the Culture and Science & Technology sectors, including spearheading major events like the International Museum Expo and launching the innovative Astro Night Sky Tourism in Rajasthan. Her leadership during the pandemic also supported artists through a unique e-platform initiative.
Established in 1966 under the Ministry of Tourism, ITDC plays a vital role in developing India’s tourism infrastructure, currently managing hotels, travel units, and duty-free shops across the country.
