Türkiye Wraps Up India Destination Promotion 2025 with a Grand Finale in Mumbai

The Türkiye India Destination Promotion 2025 culminated in Mumbai, marking the final stop of its dynamic six-city tour organized by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye and the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). Hosted at the Golconda Ballroom, Trident BKC, the event brought together key stakeholders from India’s travel and tourism industry, fostering new avenues for collaboration.

Following successful editions in Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, the Mumbai event drew a strong turnout of over 200 travel professionals, including luxury tour operators, MICE experts, and hospitality leaders. The initiative reinforced Türkiye’s appeal as a premier international destination for Indian travelers.

Leading the event were Ms. Basak Onsal Demir, Counsellor for Culture and Tourism Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, and Mr. Mustafa Kemalettin Eruygur, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Mumbai. A highlight of the evening was an engaging presentation by TGA representative, Ms. Zeynep Üçok Celikag, who provided insights into Türkiye’s evolving tourism landscape. She spotlighted emerging attractions such as the stunning Aegean coastlines, the UNESCO-listed Göbeklitepe, and the historically rich Taş Tepeler region. Additionally, Türkiye’s growing reputation as a leading destination for weddings and MICE tourism was emphasized, showcasing its versatility for Indian travelers.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Mustafa Kemalettin Eruygur, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Mumbai, remarked,
"Mumbai, as India's financial and entertainment hub, plays a vital role in outbound travel. The city's increasing demand for premium travel experiences aligns perfectly with Türkiye’s diverse offerings. We have seen remarkable interest from Indian travelers, and we aim to provide them with even greater opportunities to discover Türkiye’s rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and modern attractions. The event was further supported by Turkish Airlines and IndiGo, reaffirming their commitment to expanding flight connectivity between India and Türkiye. Attendees engaged in B2B networking, insightful presentations, and an exciting lucky draw, offering exclusive travel experiences to Türkiye.
