Kashi Mahakal Express starts its commercial run on 16 Feb, 2020
The third privately operated train of Indian Railways ‘Kashi Mahakal Express’ commenced its commercial run on 16 February. The train will run three days a week, of which it will be a bi-weekly service through the Sultanpur-Lucknow route and a weekly service via the Prayagraj route.
The train which will be maintained by IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation), a subsidiary of the Indian Railways, and will operate three days a week. The IRCTC is also offering several tour packages for the passengers of Kashi Mahakal Express. The tour packages include lodging at AC hotels at night and will also be provided with breakfast and dinner. IRCTC will also provide AC vehicles during the visit to the places.
Passengers travelling this train may visit the three Jyotirlinga pilgrim centres – Omkareshwar (near Indore), Mahakaleshwar (Ujjain) and Kashi Vishwanath (Varanasi) in its journey.
Ujjain – Omkareshwar Package – (2 nights 3 days) costing Rs 9420per person. The tour will begin on every Monday and Wednesday and it includes the visit to the places like Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple, Kaal Bhairab temple, Ram Mandir ghat, Har Siddhi Temple and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temple.
Ujjain – Omkareshwar – Maheshwar – Indore Package – (3 nights 4 days) costing Rs 12,450 per person offering visits to Hindu temples like Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga and Kaal Bhairab temple and historical places like Holkar Fort, Narmada Ghat. The tour will start on Friday of every week.
Bhopal – Sanchi – Bhimbetka – Ujjain Package – (3Nights 4 days) costing Rs 14, 950 per person and it will start every Friday. Places covered - Sanchi Stupa, Bhimbetka rock painting, Kaal Bhairab temple, Harsiddhi temple and Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple.
Train No 82402/82401 Indore – Varanasi Express via Lucknow
It will be a bi-weekly service in which Train No 82402 Indore – Varanasi Express will depart from Indore at 10.55am every Wednesday & Friday and will arrive Varanasi at 06.00am the next day. Similarly, Train No 82401 Varanasi - Indore Express will depart from Varanasi at 02.45pm every Tuesday & Thursday and will arrive at Indore at 09.40pm the next day. This train will halt at Ujjain, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur, Lucknow & Sultanpur stations in both directions.
Train No 82404/82403 Indore – Varanasi Express via Prayagraj
It will be a weekly service Indore – Varanasi Express will depart from Indore at 10.55am every Monday and will arrive Varanasi at 05.00am the next day. Similarly, Train No 82403 Varanasi - Indore Express will depart from Varanasi at 03.15 pm every Sunday and will arrive Indore at 09.40am the next day. This train will halt at Ujjain, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur & Prayagraj(Allahabad) stations in both directions.
The train will provide a host of facilities and services to the passengers on-board including high quality vegetarian food, on-board bedrolls and housekeeping services and on-board security services, complimentary travel insurance of Rs. 10 lakhs during the journey.
