AATO Holds Annual General Body Meeting at Eden Resort

The Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO) was successfully held on 16th February 2025 at Eden Resort, Kamraj Nagar, with the participation of over 100 members from the tourism industry.
The event was graced by Dr. Chandrasekhar, President of the Andaman & Nicobar Chamber of Commerce, as the Chief Guest, and Shri Mohd. Jadwet, Chapter Chairman of IATO and Director of Makruzz, as the Guest of Honour.
The programme commenced with a two-minute silence in memory of the departed souls who contributed to the industry. This was followed by a welcome address by Shri K. Hamza, General Secretary of AATO, who extended his gratitude to all members for their active participation.
Shri M. Vinod, President of AATO, delivered the Presidential Address, highlighting AATO's history, achievements, and vision for the future of the tourism industry in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. He emphasized AATO’s continuous efforts to promote responsible and sustainable tourism while working towards policy advocacy for the betterment of the sector.
Both the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour commended AATO for its leadership and unwavering dedication to strengthening the island’s tourism ecosystem. They acknowledged the association’s role in bringing together tourism stakeholders and creating new opportunities for growth.
The evening was made even more special with mesmerizing flute and saxophone performances by renowned island musician Mr. Surjit, which added a soulful touch to the event. A happiness session conducted by Samhita Veda Acharya (Koyal) was another highlight, engaging members in mindfulness and well-being exercises.
To recognize the contributions of AATO members, mementoes were presented, appreciating their role in shaping the tourism industry. Shri P.S. Vijayan delivered the vote of thanks, acknowledging the support of all dignitaries, members, and contributors who made the AGM a grand success.
The AATO AGM 2025 reaffirmed the association’s commitment to working towards the betterment of Andaman tourism and strengthening its presence as a key industry body.
