Emirates Expands Refurbished Boeing 777 Services to Eight More Destinations
Emirates continues to elevate its inflight experience with the expansion of its Boeing 777 retrofit programme, introducing upgraded cabins to eight additional destinations across its global network. As part of its ambitious US$5 billion fleet refurbishment plan, the airline is enhancing passenger comfort with its latest Business and Premium Economy offerings, reinforcing its commitment to excellence in air travel.
With a retrofit completed every three weeks, Emirates is on track to serve 44 cities with its refreshed Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 fleet by September 2025. The newly upgraded aircraft, featuring an enhanced four-class configuration, will be gradually introduced to key destinations, offering travelers an elevated journey with redesigned interiors, greater comfort, and state-of-the-art amenities.
Enhanced Travel Experience to Key Global Destinations
Emirates will introduce its refurbished Boeing 777s on the following routes:

Lisbon: From 1 June 2025, all flights to and from Lisbon (EK 191/192 and EK 193/194) will feature Emirates’ upgraded cabins.

Dublin: Passengers traveling on EK 161/162 from 25 June will enjoy the latest Business and Premium Economy cabins.

Hong Kong, SAR: Starting 15 July, EK 382/383 will become the second Chinese destination served with the retrofitted Boeing 777.

Maldives: Flights EK 658/659 from 1 June and EK 656/657, EK 660/661 from 15 July will offer an enhanced onboard experience.

Kolkata: From 10 August, EK 572/573 will operate four times weekly (Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) with the newly refurbished aircraft.

Colombo: Daily EK 650/651 services will receive the updated interiors starting 10 August, complementing Emirates’ A350 operations to the Sri Lankan capital.

Johannesburg & Cape Town: Emirates will debut Premium Economy and refreshed Business Class cabins on EK 765/766 from 1 September and EK 761/762 from 25 September in Johannesburg, while Cape Town will receive the upgraded interiors on daily EK 770/771 services from 20 September.

London Stansted: The airport will receive its second daily service with the upgraded Boeing 777 cabins on EK 067/068 from 1 June.
Setting New Standards in Passenger Comfort
Emirates has undertaken the aviation industry’s most extensive retrofit project, transforming more than 220 aircraft. The refurbished Boeing 777 features a four-class configuration, introducing Emirates' signature Premium Economy cabin and a redesigned Business Class.
