Global Celebrities Illuminate Grand Opening of One&Only One Za’abeel in Dubai
The star-studded inauguration of One&Only One Za’abeel, the world's first vertical, urban resort by the ultra-luxury hospitality brand, unfolded in Dubai, attracting A-list celebrities and cultural influencers from various fields for a remarkable weekend at The Link, Dubai's new urban stage.
Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell, Vanessa Hudgens, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Gauri Khan, Malaika Arora, Mark Ronson, Idris Elba, and more, graced the occasion as the first privileged guests to experience the opulence of this captivating city resort.
Jennifer Lopez stole the show with an impromptu performance at Sphere in The Link, a futuristic boulevard suspended 100 meters above the ground. Dressed in a glittering sequin jumpsuit, she mesmerized the audience with a medley of hit songs, collaborating with Mark Ronson in their first-ever DJ set together. Later, Idris Elba joined the duo, extending the party into the early hours.
The festivities kicked off with an intimate gathering at Aelia, a new French-Mediterranean restaurant, followed by bespoke dining experiences at The Link and an afterparty at Tapasake, the glamorous poolside restaurant. Lebanese pop star Nancy Ajram added musical flair to the night.
The second day saw a sun-soaked Rosé Pool Brunch at Tapasake, offering breathtaking views of Dubai's skyline. Guests enjoyed Japanese fusion food atop the world's longest cantilever and UAE's longest infinity pool.
The weekend also featured a star-studded Red Carpet event, highlighting international celebrities and VIPs. Michelin-lauded chefs hosted dinners at their latest restaurant openings within the resort. The culinary journey concluded with a brunch at StreetXO, featuring a bespoke menu by three-Michelin star chef Dabiz Muñoz.
A Guinness World Record-breaking 3D video-mapping projection illuminated the resort, marking the longest projection mapping globally. This visually stunning display transformed the facade, reflecting the innovative interior of One&Only One Za’abeel.
