Thane fast becoming the ‘city of choice’

Making dream homes a reality was the theme of the inauguration ceremony of the 22nd Property and Home Finance Expo organised by CREDAI MCHI Thane on 7 February 2025. The four days event, which is being held at Highland Gardens, Thane west, was inaugurated by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde.

In his speech, Eknath Shinde mentioned how Thane was fast becoming the ‘city of choice’ for home seekers as it is a well-planned city with positive enhancements by the infrastructure projects that will positively impact connectivity. Reminiscing about the journey of the Expo, from the first to this, its 22nd edition, Eknath Shinde said he has not missed attending a single expo – and that he sees the growth of development of Thane reflected in the expo’s evolution over the years.

Earlier, Pratap Sarnaik, Transport Minister, Maharashtra spoke about the expo reflecting Thane’s home seekers’ wishes for a home of their own, for which the expo would have many options. He referred to Thane as a city that home seekers were opting for simply because it was among the best options available for a home seeker in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

CREDAI MCHI Thane President Jitendra Mehta, in is opening remarks, mentioned that the city was evolving, and in that process, home seekers were getting better options and homes that suit all requirements and fit in all budgets. Shri Ashok Shingare I.A.S., District Collector, Thane; and Shri Ashwin Mudgal, I.A.S., Assistant Commissioner, MMRDA also graced the occasion.
